About Us

Midwest Timing & Results is a sports timing company based in Fredonia, Kansas. We've timed track and field, cross country and road races since 2017, and we're the official timing partner of the KSHSAA state championships. Each spring and fall our crews cover 200+ meets for 150+ schools across Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, from junior high duals to state finals.

We're a licensed Hy-Tek independent timing contractor. Our equipment is fully automatic, our results post live, and a backup system runs at every meet. If something goes sideways at your meet, you'll have a person to call, not a help desk.

What we bring to a meet

  • Fully automatic timing to 1/1000 of a second, with a photo-finish camera and a second camera across the line for close finishes
  • A complete backup timing system running in parallel
  • Laser distance measurement for throws and LaserRail measurement for horizontal jumps
  • Wind gauge for sprints and hurdles
  • RFID chip timing for distance races, cross country and road races, with live split points
  • LED results boards at field events and a 12-by-9-foot LED screen trailer for the infield

Kellen Adams, owner

Kellen Adams started Midwest Timing & Results in 2017 after nine years running timing for other operators. He still works the finish line at most of the meets we time. Kellen built the company on one idea: a coach should never have to wonder whether a time is right.

Today he runs the crews, the equipment, and the relationship with KSHSAA. When you call about a meet, there's a decent chance he answers.

Braden Larcom, sales and operations

Braden handles bookings, quotes and the day-of logistics that get a crew and a trailer to your site on time. Most meet directors talk to Braden first.

Our crew members work meets for us all season, most of them former athletes or coaches. The same people who timed your regional are usually the ones at state.
