Start line of a small-town Kansas 5K with a timing mat and race clock

Road Race Chip Timing

A road race lives or dies on two things: everyone's time is right, and the awards don't take an hour. We handle both. Runners get a disposable chip on the bib, a mat at the start and finish records every crossing, and results with age-group placings are on a screen and online minutes after the last finisher. We time charity 5Ks, hometown festival runs, 10Ks and half marathons across Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

How a race with us goes

  1. 1

Book it. Date, course, expected runners, and whether you need registration help. Braden sends a quote.

  2. 2

Registration. We can set up online registration or import your list from whatever you're using.

  3. 3

Race morning. Crew arrives early, lays the start and finish mats, sets the finish clock, and hands off bibs with chips already attached.

  4. 4

The race. Mats read every runner at the start and finish. Chip time and gun time both record. Results post to a screen at the finish and to midwesttiming.com as runners come in.

  5. 5

Awards. Overall and age-group results print the moment the last runner finishes. You hand out medals on schedule.
